I have done 2 paintings of leaves in a bold contemporary style. The paintings are on canvas and are painted in acrylic. Here are the finished paintings, followed by a step by step account of how they were painted. I did the top painting first. This is on a very large canvas. This one was painted for myself, and hangs on our dining room wall. The second one was, obviously, inspired by the first one, and is for sale.

Monday, 27 July 2015. A painting of Canna lilies. My latest painting of Canna lilies. This was based on some photographs I took of canna lilies in a park in Seville in Spain, recently. They were lovely big flowers, slightly back lit with the bright sunshine there. I started by sketching the outline of the canna lilies and then blocking in the background with green paint. I knew the background colour would change though! I also added some yellow and bright green swirls to the background. Firstly I made a .CONTENT

Sunday, March 10, 2013. With life so busy, it is easy to forget to grab the camera and capture some of the everyday moments. Luckily for me, the kids were more than happy to let me take some photos while we were enjoying the late afternoon sun in the backyard. I am very lucky to have these two beautiful.
