Content becomes more sophisticated and students are now reading to learn, from texts, the Internet and real-world sources of information. They are using their voice to express their ideas and opinions through writing. They are discovering new things about themselves every day, cautiously stepping into new experiences.

Things are sort of calm right now, as we are just settling back into the routine from the two-week break. For math, we did some review of regrouping in addition problems. The students also got to practice their addition facts and logic skills with some math puzzles. We started The Boxcar Children.
