The Roving Bumbarrel

Bumbarrel is an old name for the Long-tailed Tit, everyones favourite garden bird. And the reason theyre called that is for the shape of their nest. Its almost spherical, with a little hole at the front, and made from a special weave of moss, lichen, spiders webs and feathers. Rainham Marshes Bird Race 2015 - 121 Species so far! Friday, 7 August 2015. So, I watching these two Common Field Grasshoppers Chorthippus brunneus making out in my garden, as you do! Well at least I think they were a pair.

Notes from the birders of Walthamstow. Monday, 17 August 2015. They do like to be beside the seaside. Sunday, 16 August 2015. I have no idea what creature produced it - fox maybe, or dog - but look at those green bottles!
