I remember the tall mill chimney on the left going on fire in about 196566, we kids all raced along from Virgil Street because we could see the huge clouds of smoke billowing out all over Scottie. We got a good spec by Wilbraham House on the right of the pic and watched as the fire brigade engines arrived and the road was packed, especially on St Anthonys side.
