Bees can make their hive in a branch, a box or a hollow tree. Bees have to work together to make hives. The queen bee leads the worker bees to the place where they make their hive. Bees make hives out of cells. The cells are made out of wax. There are lots of cells in each hive.

We are conducting a statistical investigation to see which paper planes will fly further. We will be learning about scatter plots and will try to establish a relationships between variables. We will have a class competition to see who can come up with the most successful designs.

The Pacific Gyre - by Gayatri. At the moment in the ocean there is a gigantic gyre made out of tiny bits of rubbish. It is floating between Asia, Hawaii and California. No one knows when the Great Garbage Patch began. It moves in circles instead of moving straight because of the ocean currents. It is called a gyre. Stop littering and tell friend.
