Monday, August 10, 2015. Actually, been there done that, we are now in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since I was too busy having fun to post a blog during our two day stay in Amarillo, I decided to post some photos of our visit although it is now recent history. There is a lot of construction on I35 in that area and it is a nightmare to get around in the heavy traffic with numerous detours for exits! Once we parked we only wanted to rest up for the next leg of our escape. We had a great time at the Cadillac R.

Saturday was supposed to be nice in the morning, with thunderstorms building up after noon. Since we were only going for a couple hours, we decided to drive to Inlet Beach, where we could park fairly close, rather than taking the long hike down to the beach at Camp Helen.
