Coroner blames school for peanut death. A top Melbourne private school has been blamed for the peanut allergy death of a 13 year old student under their care. In the five years following this event, I believe many schools in Victoria have increased their vigilance and approach to managing food allergies in school, however there is still a general lack of awareness and attitude that seems to permeate society in general.
