UMNO tidak boleh dianggap sebagai musuh, sebab UMNO adalah parti orang Islam, walaupun mungkin perjuangannya sedikit berbeza. Jika PAS boleh berbincang dengan orang bukan Islam, kenapa tidak dengan orang Islam? Selama ini, semua sedia maklum ada kelembutan dan betapa berhikmahnya Tuan Guru Nik Aziz. Lontaran ideanya sentiasa mendapat perhatian dan begitu dihormati.

Bulan lalu, saya didatangi oleh seorang India Muslim yang telah memeluk Islam hampir 10 tahun dan memerlukan bantuan, juga kunjungan follow up seorang warga Perancis yang ingin memeluk Islam sebagaimana yang saya telah nyatakan sebelum ini. Dua kes yang berbeza, tetapi matlamat sama iaitu mereka memerlukan pertolongan dan bimbingan. Apakah peranan kita? Dipendekkan cerita, India Muslim tersebut mahukan sedikit wang.

Bagi generasi yang lahir sebelum tahun 1957, sudah tentu suara keramat itu merupakan hari dan detik-detik yang cukup bermakna yang tidak dapat dilupakan. Malaysia telah bebas daripada cengkaman penjajah yang sekian lama menjajah Tanah Melayu tercinta.
