After i had finished the audio i then decided that i wanted to make the intro and outro a lil different buy using a couple of flash animations i made specially for this project. the first was the intro which you can see above, a fairly simple flash animation but works really well in the finished version of the animation. Then gave the text a glow to make it stand out a lil more against the background.

Thursday, 6 May 2010. Rendering the individual scenes, using the view from different cameras. This was a process that unkown to myself that takes a lot of computing power to complete. I positioned cameras in the scene where i wanted to film angles from. The target of the camera can be moved, and animated to follow a path, this creates a panning shot which renders really smooth, and doesnt increase render time. Using SKIN modifier to move a mesh with bones.

Using a script for the animation some volunteers recorded the narration and voices. A shotgun fire was located for the race start, and also some general sounds of gravel been walked over. Monday, 16 August 2010. In one scene I had three camera changes. Instead of rendering this as three seperate scenes I opted to use the video post to set up when each camera should take over. When attempting to render static frames from some of the scenes the computers within the lab kept becomin.

For the beguining title for this project as well as the ending credit was both done on flash and added to the front and end of the animation this was the final step in making the animation which will be uploaded shortly. Edited the sound for each scene now using sound booth. took out all mistakes made by actor and got rid of as much background noise as i could useing the noise eliminator and by changing the volumes of different parts. Wednesday, 5 May 2010.

3D modelling and animation semester 2. Friday, 7 May 2010. This is an example of the scene separators I made using photoshop. They were crucial when I was adding the music to the film, as they provided padding, for making the film the correct length for the music parts. This removed the possibility of losing bit of the music.

Thursday, 13 May 2010. I am happy with the finished product. It follows the storyboard and plans I made at the beginning of the semester and I kept the animation within certain themes. I believe the story and the animation works well for children. I believe from last semester my 3D max skills have improved especially with lighting. I exported it as an avi. File with no video codec.

Story, Sound, Video. One day the thoughtful child comes out of their nest and walks around and to the water front. There the child stands thinking after a while his mother comes out to see where her child is and he is ok or not? Used adobe premiere pro to add the sound effects to the video.

One issue that the majority of students struggled with in the animation process was with the render quality.
