A Failed Challenge, Four Successful Garments. Back in March, I think, I decided that I wanted to take part in the Dress Like Your Grandma Challenge. Organised by Tanya of Mrs Hughes, not so much for sewing something vintage, but more as a tribute to my grandma. I wanted, however, to stay true to the shape of the dress bodice and for that reason I used Simplicity 1587. It always surprises me how different garments can look, when using different fabrics.

I originally was not going to make any goals post, but after reading some post from fellow bloggers, I decided that it might be a good idea to set a few. The goal was to sew more, but I ended up sewing less but perhaps more challenging projects. This year I will try to be in a better spirit and set some goals that I will enjoy completing.

Finally, my Sew Retro Rose. Okay everybody, I am so impatient. I have been wanting and wanting to don this frock again to get decent pics. Well, now the darn thing is too small. The frock was comfy to wear.
