Story of Brewing in Reigate and Redhill. This is a tale of two towns, Reigate is the older of the two and so has more of a story to tell. 1569 is the earliest proven date for brewing in the area. However, with the presence of Reigate Priory, brewing there must go back further. Redhill, on the other hand, is a product of the railways and here brewing arrived on the scene much later.
