Jul 30, 2013. We had a major heat wave here with temperatures above 100F. Since air conditioning is rather unusual in Germany and our flat got really hot, we decided to spent the day outside. So we drove down to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and visited the Partnachklamm, which is a 2300 ft. long gorge in the Alpes. Its walls rise to 260 ft. on both sides.
