Friday, November 30, 2012. Half of a Century. Well, the day has come and gone and my beautiful mama hit 50! Not only does the woman love a surprise but she also loves a good shindig. So putting two and two together, I decided to throw her a surprise party. My one mistake was to involve my father who has NO CLUE how to be sneaky! Thursday, April 5, 2012. That time of year again, when one of my most favorite flowers ever pops up from the ground and blooms its beautiful, funky, purple self. Every Fall I plant more. Bulbs, knowing that my Spring will be so much the better for it. When I see the first signs of their bright green leaves emerging from the cold, Spring ground, I am like a small child on Christmas morning. There are many, many different varieties of allium.
