I was delighted to be in the presence of many beautiful buildings. Porto is full of gorgeous churches and dishy art deco. My two favourite kinds of building! I also went on a tram and a funicular, my two favourite forms of transport.

Wednesday, September 11, 2013. When I wrap up in that quilt, I study the even, hand-sewn stitches and the color patterns, and I feel the strength of a woman who was the backbone of her family.
