Yep, that about sums it up! Wednesday, March 30, 2011. The workout was simple, an hour hard on the trainer followed by a hard 3 miles. Burn the body into the ground, because after all the Jack in the Box burgers, I deserved a little burning. Who cares if I had a great 30 minutes? Sunday, July 1, 2012. The highs for temps here have been over 100 for the past few days during this first week of official training toward our marathon. Three runs and a bike! I used to have to walk up that steep hill on Homestead but now I gear down and pedal all the way through it - even in the middle of a minor asthma attack. Yay me! Under my own steam. Saturday, September 15, 2012. Ironman World Championship 70.3 Race Report. At first I fooled myself into thinking its hard to know what to say on this blog about Sundays race. Then I realized that was a lie. I know exactly what to say. The result was disappointing. My first DNF since 2007 wow. The year of training and experiences leading up to the race was worth it. Last week I was shopping for an anniversary gift for the spousal unit, and landed at Thinkgeek. One of my favoritest places. And while shopping for him, I came across Portal cookie cutters.
