Friday, 17 July 2015. I expect it was the same in many other places this far south. The weather has been warm and close for a while, but with not very much rain. Mr C took some pictures of the flying ants. This one is of them mating. Sadly it seems after mating, the drone then dies. On the pyramid stage we watched Hozier, not having a TV, Ive only ever heard him on the radio. I never realised how gorgeous he is! Palma Violet, the Mr liked them. I have made a little progress with my impromptu quilt along. All the nine patch blocks are made up and are ready for cutting. I have also made up the first couple of the other blocks as well as completing a couple of the nine patch blocks. I am loving the look so far, what do you think? I have made some progress on the back as well. I love using up all my leftovers for the back, it makes the quilt double sided.
