The entirety of last week we spent in Italy. We spent 4 days in Rome, 2 in Naples, and 2 in Florence. In Rome we saw tons of ancient architecture, from the Colosseum. We also saw the Vatican. We also saw tons of Bernini. In Naples we took the train to Pompeii. And spent a day there exploring the 200 acres of ruins, and the next day visited the Isle of Capri.

Forgive me for my month long lapse. It was a beautiful city and a great last stop on our european excursion. the city was full of culture, music, historic architecture, fine foods and great weather. yes, to top the last few days in europe, god granted us gorgeous blue skies and moderate temperatures. The city was full of glass and jewelry shops. and at night, they were the most well lit establishments, boasting and sparkling their treasures.

Monday, November 9, 2009. Joes is on the end. Next to us is a convenient store. This is the inside space being painted and cleaned! Everything was pulled out into the parking lot to be cleaned and painted. While others cleaned the windows and painted the outside of the building. Behind the orange paint is where the kitchen was and where we eventually want to start Angel Food out of. But more pictures to come.

I was bitten by the european bug. Tuesday, 13 May, 2008. I went to wal-mart today. it was a bit overwhelming and so unnecessary. And life as a texan resumes. Friday, 9 May, 2008.
