Who would love to steal food from the small birds and squirrels in the yard, there is an unusual striped crow. Here, at the higher elevation, we also hear more ravens. Which I find interesting based upon local Indian folklore. The only photos I have are not close enough for good identification. Is attached to the photo at lef.

They became quite brave this past year, but disappeared with the colder weather. We look forward to their return. At left is a male Evening Grosbeak.

Book reviews by a Christian writer, wife, and mother. Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Cried Robin to the Miller; whereupon he turned slowly, with the weight of the bag upon his shoulder, and looked at each in turn all bewildered.
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Bulgar, Cherry, and Cranberry Pilaf. A nice side dish using Bulgar wheat instead of rice. In other words, a good way to use up the Bulgar wheat you bought to try some exotic recipe. Make it in the summer when cherries are cheap. Bulgar, Cherry, and Cranberry Pilaf. 1 cup Fresh cherries - halved and pitted. 12 oz Plain Greek yogurt.
