The lighting of the eight candled Menorah. Is symbolic of the triumph of light over darkness, of good over evil. The lighting of the Menorah represents the eight days a small amount of oil burned and gave the Maccabees.
Cross stitch, quilting, coffee, tea and books! First Finish of 2017 and Happy New Year! January 9, 2017. First, I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Can you believe the old year has passed already? Everyone has been remarking on how quickly the year went, and I know it sure did for me.
This is what makes me happy. This is a ornament I made for Debbie Bowling. She is my cross stitch penpal from the Cross Stitch Penpal site on Facebook. It took me a few hours to stitch up. I think the most tedious part was sewing it into the pillow shape. I m not one for sewing. I think it turned out nice. I really like the colors. Sunday March 18th was my birthday and I got a bunch of things in the mail. I also loved all the cards! So they are prett.

Luckily, only one cat died so we removed the grave, yea I know wierd to remove a dead animals grave. Pet Cemetery in the front yard for Halloween.

Tuesday, May 5, 2015. When we had our first baby, it seemed like a long term quilt project was in order. Finding the perfect pattern took some time, but I eventually came to the place where a birthday signature quilt was born. Every year a new block is sewn up and well wishes are shared. 05 or so sized Pigma pen.
