A little blog about quilting and other things at the cottage. Thursday, April 10, 2014. When we left the cottage, we brought my sewing machine, table and a suitcase full of general quilting supplies. I forgot my free motion foot. Now, that limited me to just doing straight walking foot quilting which is not what I like to do. I did make two baby quilts for two baby boys born to staff here at our little Villas resort.
When she was 5yo my oldest daughter named my blog with the simple wisdom that she knew how much I love quilting and it makes me happy. I am mumma to two young girls in Brisbane, Australia. I started quiltmaking in May 2009. I love sewing for loved ones, fabric, our beaglier puppy Lola, birth, babies and midwives, Facebook, my Thermomix, Blythes, Ancestry. 2 Little Apples finally fall from the tree.
Thursday, September 24, 2009. Before I left for Alaska, I had a very, happy birthday. My online quilt group did a birthday block swap. We chose the block that we wanted made and the colors we wanted for our block. I chose the block called Sunlight and Shadow. Here are 2 of 20 that I received from wonderful ladies all over the world! Friday, February 10, 2012. This quilt, finished yesterday, is made from blocks swapped with an online quilters group.
