Monday, May 28, 2012. On the cusp of the Tallgrass Prairie, where short. Bluestem grass meets tall bluestem grass,. Just north of Salina, Kansas, Prairie Lavender Farm. Tends over 3500 lavender plants. The lavender is at home in this hot dry climate. A Lark Sparrow hunted bugs while we toured the farm. And bees were busy nectaring in the lavender. Mike Neustrom was an informative and gracious host. We are planning on attending his lavender festival on.

Sunday, June 24, 2012. My favorite book this past month is. I like to have a few poetry books about. Now that summer is here I need onspiration for the gardens. I just might buy this rose book. I am learning all I can about growing roses. Every summer I read and try to put into practice. I like having some light heated reading before bed. My study of design continues. It is a serious study.
