Prison System

Friday, May 7, 2010. There is no uniform definition of recidivism. However, one formal definition of recidivism found in a text book is the return of a former correctional client to criminal behavior, as measured by new arrests or other problems with the law Clear, Cole, and Reisig, 203. The question is what causes former correctional clients to reoffend? Not all cases are the same and not ever ex-offender has the same likely hood of reoffending. The main idea is to find what works best for which.
