Monday, May 20, 2013. The holy grail of the days in Chile was today. The start of our ride. Coming off the dunes to the beach. What a real barbecue looks like. One of the pools at the country club. Morgan, Jeff, and I hanging out by the pool.
Saturday, May 18, 2013. Today I woke up early in order to visit the beach in Viña del Mar one final time. Hannah, Hannah, and I went to visit the shops and I found a woolen sweatshirt and gloves with llama designs on them. Afterwards, we returned to our favorite empanadaria in order to have one last empanada before leaving. We then returned to the hotel to finish packing. Monday, May 13, 2013.
Monday, May 20, 2013. As my final blog post, I will write the required essay. Would workers lose jobs because of them? Does the new, cheaper power give a better resource to the Chilean people? Monday, May 20, 2013. Today was a bittersweet day, as it was our last day in Chile. To make the most of our time and to attempt to spend our leftover pesos, Hannah, Alex, and I left the hotel early to walk along the beach and visit some of the artisan shops one last time. Therefore, we sat for a while and soaked up our last views of the beautiful, clear blue ocean.
Saturday, May 18, 2013. We left sometime after nine, if I remember correctly, and took the hour-long bus ride back to Hotel America. Overall, it was a very relaxing day. Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
Sunday, May 19, 2013. Today is officially the last day we will be in Chile. It is definitely a bittersweet ending. My main aspiration for this trip was to learn and experience the customs of a different culture, and I feel like my experiences here have definitely exceeded my initial expectations.
