Es un pueblo precioso en un enclave precioso,entre montañas y el río Urdiales que está en la parte de abajo del pueblo. Alguna casa ha sido rehabilitada al igual que su iglesia. Es un sitio donde los inviernos son duros y con grandes nevadas hasta avanzada la primavera.
