PGCE Geog Blog

Thursday, 9 September 2010. I was told about this website by the Geography Department at the school where I worked. It is a free website where ideas and resources are shared. Hopefully it will come in useful when planning lessons. We can think of a geographic information system GIS as an advanced and interactive map. It is a tool which allows us to organise and visualise data in new and practical ways. It allows us to place layer upon layer of data over a basemap made up of real localities. Students go.
