Its a girl!

I write about theology, disability, family, and culture. Two major life experiences have shaped my writing and faith caring for my mother-in-law as she battled cancer and welcoming my daughter Penny into the world after she was diagnosed at birth with Down syndrome. Both experiences expanded and enriched my understanding of what it means to be human and to receive each and every person as a gift. View my complete profile. Pictures and an Update. Catherine Illian A few short scribbles about this gift of life

A few short scribbles about this gift of life. We spent the better part of the morning organizing four drawers in my home office. It was great to get organized but the highlight was probably the gusto Jack exhibited for every little thing I pulled out of the drawer. Children really are amazing in their wonder at the little things.

The Glory of God is man fully alive. - Gone with the Wind

The Glory of God is man fully alive. Imagine what it would have been like before the Fall? As you heard via our last post, we were at a point in our travels where we felt that we had accomplished what the Lord had for us, and that He was freeing us to either stick around or head home, or go wherever!
