Here we go again! This blog documents the build of my second R2-D2. Having learned a lot from building my first R2, this next one should take advantage of the things I learned while building the first! Friday, April 10, 2015. Beginning work on the Utility Arm Motorization kit. This week, I started work on the Utility Arm Motorization Kit, offered by Rotopod on the Astromech forums. With this kit, those spacers are replaced with pulleys and belts, driven by servo motors.

Tuesday, June 14, 2011. I test fit the legs last night. They still need to be skinned and drilled for cables. After I get the legs skinned I will start skinning the body. My first parts arrived! My dome arrived today. Im am so excited about this. After some inital cleanup i took some photos of it. Next time i will do the declaration myself.
