Sunday, June 1, 2014. Darren was busy taking continuing education classes which meant I had the kids on my own! One of the days we hit up the Butterfly Pavilion.
Chapter Books and Dance Classes. Yesterday was a great day in the Smith house. There were a few words that he came across that he had a little trouble with but he worked through them and is really reading like a champ. They are really growing up fast - remind me again how that happened. James is a 1st Grader.

Thursday, October 17, 2013. There is nothing like a quiet evening with family and friends that feel like family. The other night I took Sophie and her friend to the high school to kick a soccer ball around. We got there just in time for the sprinklers to come on. BRETT, AUTUMN, CHRISTIAN, LAYNE and DAISY. Sunday, October 5, 2014. Christian is officially too old for this contest. Layne and I jetted down early morning and spent a day together at the beach. Her first heat she got 3rd and advanced to the semi-finals. In the semi-finals she took 3rd again which allowed her to surf in the finals. Trying to get a little cover up! Layne took 2nd place in the Finals. Woot! So proud of my little surfer girl! .

Its been in the fridge for like 10 years! Alexis, we havent even lived here for 10 years. I know. It just means its really old. as she skips her little plates outside. Wonder wear she got that from. Is located on the east side of Vancouver Island in Nanoose Bay, a short distance south of Parksville. We overlook the Strait of Georgia and the mountains of mainland British Columbia. Only 100 meters from our home is a rock beach with huge driftwood logs. In the tidal pools you can find seastars. Sea lions, seals, otters, and eagles can often be seen or heard while wandering along the beach. On the opposite side of Craig Bay lies Rathtrevor Provincial Park with its wonderful sandy beach.
