Friday, August 19, 2011. Teachers often called me Heather. People who met me and forgot my name used that one in its place. Coworkers mistakenly summoned me by it. Actually, that and having to write or say 12 letters every time I spell out my name.

I wanted to say a proper good-bye. Thank you for the years of listening to my bullshit. For following my story and laughing and crying with me. Being a blogger shaped who I am. Writing helped transition me from a Californian to a Seattleite, from single spinster to married woman. It got me through good times and terrible times, being able to come here to share my story. Ash is raining down at my house today, as smoke from the Thomas fire in Ventura County blows north. I dont know exactly how many structures and homes have been lost, but I know its in the hundreds, and I cannot even imagine what people who lived in the fires path are going through. Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Mostly 0-3 months, 3 months, and 6 months. I am afaid to say this out loud. but I feel like you are sleepiest newborn we have had! You also love being swaddled while you sleep. And you do not usually nurse to sleep which is so different than what I am used to! Coming home from the hospital.

Friday, June 29, 2012. Olivia completed her first year of Awanas. Had her first official day of work at Chick-fil-A. Made cookies completely by herself. Mom did put them in and take them out of the oven. And was in her first wedding! Olivia dancing and playing her violin at a local nursing home. Happy Birthday to our sweet girls! Olivia is 8 and Lydia is 5. The girls were so excited to see this double rainbow! We love watching the blue birds each year. This look is soooooo Lydia! .
The Alling Family has moved to Maui! Terry, Holly, Abbie and RJ are living in paradise! This blog is made to help our family and friends stay updated on our new adventure!
