The musings of a chef-caterer turned estate gardener, digging, pruning and cultivating my way through a year in the garden. Thursday, October 25, 2012. Out, and I love how they contrast with the secondary bloom of the Encore azaleas behind.
To Shovel Prune or Not. A shot from my garden yesterday.

Monday, August 24, 2015. Last year I began purchasing micro greens at the local farm markets. What tasty little morsels they are, little bits so fresh and teeny. They just make you, and your taste buds smile! I decided to try my hand at growing my own. Check out their great website! Talk about immediate gratification! Microgreens take only 10-14 days to reach beautiful, yummy maturity. Easily grown in a flower pot right outside the kitchen door! .
Wednesday, February 27, 2013. Well, all I can say is that it has been a while since I have posted here. We have been travelling a lot, our latest trip to Tasmania was pretty mind blowing. We drove from Brisbane to Tasmania and back again. We stopped everywhere we could on the way there and on the way back. We camped in National Parks, we stayed in bed and breakfasts and motels. We did not book anything before we left which added excitement to our amazing adventures. Australia, you are so beautiful.
I Guess Better Late Than Never. My quilt business has kept me out of the garden but now that it has slowed down I have a little time to post. These are LAST years photos. A lot has happened to the garden since then. It has become wild and untamed! These Knockouts so far have not been affected by the disease. Knockout with the disease that was cut down to the ground - it had this one good show. Another Knockout with the disease.

Paris and the Heart of France. Eric and I were married on July 8, 2011 after nine years of dating. Being no stranger to waiting, our French honeymoon was two years in the making. Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations. We went through two memory cards, taking 2,000 pictures and a few videos. Though I love all of our pictures, nothing can compare to actually being there.
Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Things have been progressing behind the scenes as we continue to design our French inspired home. As you might have already noticed; we have been on a short break from blog posting. We have been working our way through some unforeseen design obstacles. The bidding process has again resumed and we too will now pick up our blog postings right where we left off.
