IVF 101- for the uninitiated. Life with 5 month twins. Life with 5 month twins leaves very little time for blogging or anything at all! The past few months have gone really fast and we are suddenly here with two happy and healthy babies.

Can we breathe now? I have been virtually absent from blogging for a long while now. Part of it was because of lack of things to say, part of it was not wanting to say the things I could, but most of it was because I was so consumed with everything happening in our home life. The last 3 years have been hard. Sometimes he would come home on Wednesday and stay through Sunday! So it all came.

I just like sending everyone on a wild goose hunt. I have missed the feel of that space.

Thoughts on travelling with a toddler. Even knowing this, a few weeks ago we boarded a transatlantic flight. One week ago, we did it again. In total, we spent more than 16 hours on an airplane and another 8 in transit. Our journey included trains, planes, buses and cars. Now that all of our jetlag has passed, I feel equipped to offer some notes and tips on travelling with toddler.

Tuesday, April 14, 2015. We live over an hour from the hospital so had to get up early. It was 6 am when we got there. They started pitocin at 7am and broke her water not long after that. Every one was so surprised. She did tear and had stitches and some bleeding but not too bad.

Saturday, June 20, 2015. Looking back now though, I think that I had become deadened to the racial things I heard and the way I was treated. I had foolishly taken racism off the list of things to worry about for my family. I figured having two moms would be on top. This past week has stirred up so much emotion about racial identity for me. And how do I keep them from ever having to deal with them? Children to grow up in the same one we did.

We are Amity and Sheila who have been together for 3 Tuesdays and just like any long term relationship we wanted something more. We have decided to bring a little bundle of puke into the world.
