The Otara Markets operates on Saturday mornings only. Stallholders are ready to sell by 6am and we close at 12 midday. We have stalls in the car park behind the Otara Town Centre on Watford and Newbury Streets and stalls inside Te Puke o Tara Community Centre hall. Not to forget such favourites as Polynesian music and dvds, infamous t-shirts, gifts, toys, jewellery, shoes, sarongs, homemade duvet and pillows, electrical goods and more. Care for the Voiceless C4V Fundraiser. Otara was Chief Guest at a Car Wash recently organized by Care for the Voiceless to raise funds for a Sterilization and Vaccination program in Anuradhapura. Among the celebrities who joined her in this noteworthy cause included; Actresses Dhamitha Abeyratne, Anuradha Nandasiri and Malkanthi Nandasiri. Carol Buckley of Elephant Aid visits Sri Lanka.
