Farmer Education

Monday, 25 July 2011. Our focus from the outset has been to educate farmers and extension staff in profitable, sustainable, small to medium scale farming systems and sustainable building technology in order to influence a change in rural Zambia. We feel the best way to teach is by example. Indeed, what did we know about hand hoe farming in Zambia when we came back in 2001! 8211; very little! We are already engaged in farmer and trainer education in the following subjects. Permaculture practice and design.

Old Orchard Organic Farm

What we do at Old Orchard Organic Farm. Tuesday, 5 July 2011. Some good tomatoes despite the frost! Mama pig with her 11 lovely piglets. Ups and downs so far in the season. At last we got our free range pigs! We had a frost which almost killed our tomatoes. We got great yeild with our organic maize trials! A nightmare weeding onions.
