I ran into half an existential crisis a few days ago. i felt i needed a talent. and her drawings were portraits. painfully intricate, pedantic, beautiful portraits. where did that come from? Tuesday, March 15, 2011. So Amsterdam was quite the trip! I went to visit my friend Karl, who is spending his semester abroad there. It was really nice to be able to be with someone who knew the city and could show me some favorite spots. The feeling I had about this city was surprise. I had never been to a city like Amsterdam and I was not sure what to expect when I showed up there.
