Thursday, October 20, 2011. Shot his employer to death in Wright Township, 1881. On May 9, 1881, 57-year-old farmhand Lambertus Voskamp shot his employer Lyman H. Cady four times killing him at the Cady farmhouse in Wright Township, Ottawa County, Michigan. Buried in cemetery for unclaimed prisoners at the Asylum for Criminally Insane in Ionia, Michigan. Cady, age 29 at the time of his death, left a wife, Abbie, whom he married on December 30, 1877 in Lansing, Michigan and a 16-day-old child.

To conceal the act he set the Paulson house afire. Maris Karlins is still alive and resides at the The G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility located in Jackson County, Michigan.
