Recently while on Facebook, someone posted an idea of cutting off the ends of your Romaine Lettuce and Celery. Place them in a container or cup and fill with water. It was growing wonderfully in the windowsill in our kitchen as seen below. My friend in Comox has a beautiful garden and I captured these Daisies.
Exciting renovations are underway at the Elora Mill. It was originally a grist mill, then more recently a popular inn and restaurant. But after more than four years of planning, applications, assessments, etc. work has begun on the mixed use space for a hotel, commercial and residential property, a new bridge and parkland. There are more pictures and information on the development plans. The really good news is that the town is behind the project! .
