Saturday, February 18, 2006. It is common sense to believe that, in order for an organization that has been struggling over the better half of a decade, to rebuild, they need one two premier assets that are tradeable, in order to acquire top-flight prospects or picks. Unfortunately for the New York Islanders, said players simply do not exist.

Thursday, February 23, 2006. Due to the time zone difference, I was only able to catch the Canada vs Switzerland epic game. Wow, what a stinker. Canada gets shut out in 16 of 17 periods. Somehow I can relate to this, being a huge Montreal Canadiens fan. Team Canada showed a surprising resemblence to the Habs of recent years. Good goaltending combined with anemic scoring! Nothing is worse than watching your teams inabiltiy to put the puck in the net. The Opinion Blog of Kevin.
Friday, June 02, 2006. 2-0 through the third round. Me and the monkey seem to be the only two to get it right. Interestingly enough, Maggie the Monkey went a perfect 2-0 with picks EDM and CAR, while the other three bonehead analysts Bob McKenzie, Bill Berg, and Pierre McGuire went a 0-2 with ANA and BUF picks. That makes maggie 9-5 overall! My overall record is now 8-6. Without further adieu, my pick as the Stanley Cup winner is the Carolina Hurricanes. The Opinion Blog of NTR.
The Expert Blog of Lyle Richardson. Thursday, February 23, 2006. We asked Lyle whether or not he thinks the NHL will participate in the Olympics after the games in 2010. Lyle responded with a flat-out No. After 2010, it will likely be all we ever see of NHL players in international hockey, as its looking as though the NHL will not participate in the World Cup either.

Thursday, March 02, 2006. As the deadline looms and his team sinks down the table, Fergie Light has some tough actions to take. Cross your fingers, grab on to that bar table in your perch in the ACC, and pray that Telquist can play on some hot streak that will allow you to save your job with an 8th place finish. As I advised last week to another executive with an underperforming team - act now - next week will be too late. Monday, February 20, 2006.
The Opinion Blog of the Hockey Pharmacist. Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Congratulations to the Swedish Olympic hockey team. The number of stars in the league that have come from this country is impressive. Mats Sundin, Peter Forsberg, Nicklaus Lidstrom, Henrik Lundqvist, Daniel Alfredson and the list goes on. It has been said that the Olympics are bigger than even.
