It also said " 1 cup chopped dates or prunes. Walnuts can be added if desired. Pour over this mix 1 cup of boiling water and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Then add 1 2 beaten eggs. Mix well then add 1 cup of SR flour and mix well. Bake in a loaf tin in a moderate oven for 40 50 minutes. Great served with butter or lemon icing or just on its own. Wednesday, 11 July 2007."
