Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Our Last Twin Chimneys Swim Meet. Sophie Gets Her Patriarchal Blessing. Sophie wanted to get her partiarchal blessing before we moved to Colorado. I was really proud of her that she has been studying her scriptures and saying her prayers and doing a lot of soul-searching to decide that she felt she was ready for this. Stake Patriarch Munson and his wife, Lorrie with Sophie.
Monday, January 16, 2012. In November my beautiful, spunky, fun-loving Grandma turned 99. I decided it was not everyday your Grandma had a 99 th. and that I needed to help celebrate such a glorious life! So last minute, I ceased the opportunity to take advantage of an Exxon nanny and left Seth and the boys for five days as I was Portland bound. We celebrated at a beautiful vineyard in McMinnville.

I was listening to Mitch Alboms show on WJR last week. It was last Monday, the day after the Golden Globes. They were talking about who won and who said what.blah, blah, blah. He commented that Brooklyn 99 and Andy Samberg should not have won Golden Globes. He said the show and actor are not funny. Same with movies. I like them or I dont.CONTENT

I took this photo of this old tree a few years ago, but I love the textures in the photo, and the contrast between the smooth mist and the gnarled bark and sharp edges of the tree. This area is very much in the press at the moment; there is a debate as to whether to keep using the land for farming, or to start building on it. Enjoy the pics from Sunday.
