My retirement journey in the woods. Sunday, November 19, 2017. It was paper pieced which I generally love to do. The actual pieces while time consuming worked up nicely. Once I got two done, I was inspired to finish the other six. And, once the eight were complete I was very excited! The hum of the refrigerator. The steady drip of snow melting on the roof. The intermittent creak as sunlight warms the bones of the porch. The click of the thermostat on my space heater. No bleeping, dinging, or buzzing phones. No scanner, no pager, no IAmResponding. No voices, no footsteps, no hum and clank of laundry. Back later; my book is calling. I took care of all the cats, ran errands, vacuumed, and folded laundry. I also was contacted by John Moxon, who runs a site ALSO called Notes From Mother. He suggested we do a tag team post.
