I started on my Christmas Treats yesterday! The first project was caramels. It was a learning process the whole way, but they turned out. I am thinking of doing another batch. The recipe I used is below, but I changed it.

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Arizona National Scenic Trail Part 14 Patagonia, Arizona to the Mexican Border at the Coronado National Memorial. We woke up especially early and got into Patagonia on the road system by 7 am. By 9 oclock we had eaten a wonderful breakfast and had bought 55 miles worth of food from a small convenient store to reach our final destination on the Mexican border. At Gate Spring we realized the trail was just above us, and so we bushwhacked to rejoin it. Both day and night, unman.CONTENT

Saturday, February 22, 2014. An Unexpected and Welcome Visitor. Most birders will say when asked, that their favorite bird is the last one seen. But I think my backyard crew is closest to my heart, and the wren family is closest to the top of the list. During the recent heavy weather I scattered hulled sunflower seed on a stone bench near a window in order to see who came in for breakfast.
