Saturday, August 30, 2008. Dandong and the Yalu river in Liaoning province. The Bridge of the Friendship between North-Korea and China. This is the Bridge of the Friendship at Dandong. Dandong is situated in the east of Liaoning district, at the Yalu River, which is the border between China and North-Korea. In the Korean War the bridge was destroyed by the Americans. But China built a new bridge, and made a monument of the old bridge.
