Thursday, March 26, 2009. Revisiting McCarthy, August 2008. Last August, my parents came to visit for a 5-day whirlwind trip around the state of Alaska. In 5 days, we managed to drive to and from McCarthy, down the incredibly haggard McCarthy Rd. But the city dwellers hung tough, and the Subaru survived without replacing one tire, and we had a great time. a beautiful view of the Wrangells from our quaint little lodge. Time to cross the bridge again.

Last week, Sadie and I decided wed just swing on down to Seattle on the heel of receiving news that Grandma and Grandpa were heading that way. If they were going to be on the west coast I figured it wouldnt be too hard to mosey on down so they could meet their first great-grandbaby!
