Focus Group Of Finished Product. I showed a cut of my film to a few people within my Target Audience, in this I asked some questions based on what they have just seen. In these questions I asked about my characters, the plot and how it could be improved. The short film Cubs written and directed by Tom Harper looks into the life of youths. The film won the British Independent Film Award and was nominated for a BAFTA. Various themes and issues are developed throughout the film; Peer pressure, violence and cultural divides. The film follows two main characters who want to become part of a gang they believe is cool. After the characters stand together looking around them anxiously, Karl enters the scene with two ravening dogs.
From the notes on this section I gained knowledge in how to write and develop my film idea. The points helped guide me through how to show my protagonists journey, the ellipsis of time and how much a short film should contain. After the reading and notes we took a test to see how much we understood of screen writing.
