Once I was given my instructions to make a music magazine I realised i had to do some research. I had to look at magazine front covers, contents pages and magazine articles. When looking at front covers i had to look at what was most popular, what the reader wants to see and what would make my magazine stand out more compared to the others. For example i looked at where the titles are placed, what type of images are used, colour schemes, and more.

Tuesday, 31 March 2009. Now I have completed the magazine, I have moved on to the evaluation element of the project. I have completed the evaluation, justifying my decisions whilst assessing their affectiveness simultaneously. 1 - 3 But how did I appeal to this, admittedly, rather broad, target audience? I subverted several conventions of music magazines whilst also conforming to elements of magazines that would appeal to my target audience.
