Sunday, May 5, 2013. My husband and I are major DIYers when it comes to updating our home. We recently began to tackle the first half of our kitchen. Here is a quick peek of what it looked like before. Need I say more of why we wanted to tackle this? Paneling came down, Sheetrock went up, walls got spackled, primed, and painted and here is the result. Here is a peek at our finished project.
Friday, September 14, 2012. From oil pan to magnetic board. I saw a cute picture of an oil pan that someone made into an alphabet board. covering the pan with A to Z. it got me thinking of how I could change up that oil pan to fit into our office area. I found an oil pan for 12. when I brought it home my husband was alarmed. I first tried to cover the board with chalkboard paint. after a coat or two I gave up, it would not adhere. So I moved onto the next idea.

Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Kindergarten is over and they have rocked their kinder shoes! Nic got the Owl award for sharing is knowledge of what he has learned with the class and helping teach others. Katherine got the Science award for conquering science. My babies are not babies anymore . But we are so excited for what the future holds! I know this post is about Katherine and her first lost tooth, but I must say how proud I am of Nicholas celebrating this mile stone with her and being overjoyed for her.CONTENT

2011 all ready and we have just returned from a lovely new year in the borders with friends, one of whom reminded me to write on the blog, so here I am! Monday, May 5, 2014. There are some amazing bloggers in the state of Iowa. I had the opportunity to meet up with a handful of them a few months ago in Iowa City. Organized the entire thing and from that point on, a community was created, a community to share ideas, ask questions, and create opportunities not only for growth, but a great platform to meet some quality people and build networks and friendships.
