Thursday, 28 July 2016. At discovery time today we were learning to draw great umbrella shapes. We then used several different techniques to colour them. These included painting, dotty paint patterns, water colour pencils and crayon and dye art. How do our umbrellas look? Thursday, 30 June 2016. On Wednesday our buddy class came to help us make stick insects out of tinfoil. We had to twist, scrunch, mould and wrap the tinfoil until we were happy with our stick insect.
Over the week we read through it with expression, we looked at wow words, we found antonyms and synonyms and lastly, we got to meet Mr McDoodle and interview him. Hurricanes fan day in Room 20. Aim of the day was to build a positive spirit amongst students, encouraging them to participate with respect and enthusiasm.
Wednesday, 15 June 2016. What an exciting day with a visit from Constable Duncan! In the classroom, Constable Duncan talked about how we can keep safe. Towards the end of the visit, Constable Duncan said he gets a grumpy face sometimes. Joshua and Molly made a grumpy face for the camera! We have had.
Friday, 4 November 2016. In Room 8 this week, we have been working on our topic Material Matters. On Wednesday we got given some materials to make a shoe that followed certain criteria. This is a shoe made out of fabric. This is a shoe that had mixed materials. This shoe was made entirely out of tinfoil. This shoe was made out of lots of newspaper.
