Dull July days in West Sussex. Now, just as the first returning migrants are starting to appear along the coast, I am away for a couple of weeks or so. About 30 Swifts put on good display this evening over the garden. Atching over our house has given e a lot of enjoyment this month.
Red Veins and Red Eyes. I was nearby again on Friday so I planned another attempt to see if I could tempt it onto a nicer perch. This was not to be though as Eastbourne had monsoon type weather on the Thursday which resulted in the area where I wanted to be being under 18 inches of water! Red-eyed Damselflies in tandem.
The birding adventures of a Uni student in Norfolk. Tuesday, 25 March 2014. Very enjoyable day out mostly doing photography, started at Lynford and had excellent views of the presumed Two Barred Crossbill. Also great views of common Crossbill. To my delight they were Hawfinches. Which was in the heather.
