Sunday, March 25, 2012. The truth is, I miss Tennessee. I am however learning to appreciate Texas. I have learned never to complain about the amazing winter weather. A few weekends ago we decided to check out this place. The Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch comes highly recommended by the Wilson crew! A long horn right by our car. Yay for feeding animals! My kiddos.

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Where has the time gone and what happened to our little, round faced little boy? This guy is growing up so fast and we are so proud of the young man he is turning into. Christmas is in the Air. On our way home from Thanksgiving in Mountain View, we stopped in Ogden and took the FrontRunner down to Temple Square to see the lights. We always have a good time and enjoy the time on the train. Kim, me, Kami.

Wednesday, December 26, 2012. A Christmas Bowl of Burl for Kathy. Several years ago while visiting Benjamin and his family in Oregon, I picked up a chunk of myrtlewood burl. I decided to see what would emerge from this piece of burl using the lathe. Burls form when a tree is stressed and creates a deformed growth pattern yielding a large bulbous mass with grain that appears to have small notty structures that are really dormant buds.

Sunday, August 9, 2009. Its the perfect time to buy! I sure hope so. If we have to wait on one, we might as well wait on a few and hope we get a good deal one SOMETHING. In the mean time, we get to stay in our apartment a little while longer. but not too much longer, I hope. We want to move before it starts snowing! At least before Christmas! So there you have it.
