Feeding the earth to feed our lives. Tomatoes are coming in fast and furious; maybe 20 pounds a day. Consequently, processing is now an every other day event. Ive yet to produce a canned whole, peeled tomato that can measure up to high-quality commercial varieties, but Ill keep trying. Sauce is an entirely different matter and do we ever go through it over the course of a year. Among the flow of anonymous fruits we do see if a few strange conjoined or otherwise noteworthy weirdos.

During the semester, in my photo four class we are trying to go deeper into the subject in which we enjoy photographing. I photographed antique objects that were important to me. Then I tried to use the lighting that would have been used originally. So these are my final ten images. Once the play started, it grabbed my attention. Eleonor, Miranda and Clara on a Table of Turmoil. The fruits my grandma peals with her knife, she feeds them to the goats in her backyard. She offers them the flesh of the fruits, but she keeps the pealed skin to herself. She then goes to rest, on her favorite bouncing wooden chair in the living room. I go out into the backyard, I take with me the sharpest shell of a mussel. The goats stare at me, their eyes are black melting prunes.
